When to contact the provider? FAQS
May 29, 2023Blood work and Follow-ups FAQS
What if I have blood work from my primary care provider, can you use this?
For us to be able to safely prescribe medications, your lab work needs to be less than 3 months old. It also needs to be the blood work that we require, if an item is missing, it will need to be ordered at the time of the appointment.
What if I want to do my blood work in another place?
If you want to get your blood work done at another laboratory company, we can send the order to the laboratory company of your choosing. However, please keep in mind that this will be at your own expense. The Confidence Clinic has partnered up with the specific laboratory in order to give you the best pricing.
How often should I follow-up?
This will depend on what the practitioner is helping you achieve.
Usually, for weight loss programs, follow-ups are scheduled on a monthly basis for refills of medications, adjusting dosages, and in order to track progress.
For hormone replacement, a 1 month follow up is required after starting medications in order to check for symptom improvement, side effects, and/or to increase dosage of medications. Then at 3 months to recheck hormone levels, until we find a dosage that works for you. If we find a dosage that works for you, the follow-up appointments will be every 6 months.
