Weight loss
Losing weight is difficult and more if you are doing it alone, our supervised weight loss program will help you reach your weight loss goals with our personalized labwork, medications, and nutrition guidance.
How do I know if I am a candidate for supervised weight loss?
You have tried diet and exercise and have failed to lose or maintain weight off. In addition, you have
Body mass index (BMI) of 27 or greater with other health conditions, such asType 2 diabetes
Pre-diabetes, insulin resistance, hypertension, high cholesterol, joint pain, sleep apnea, or other.
Or have a BMI of 30 or greater without any health conditions
How does supervised weight loss work?
At your first visit, the Advanced Practice Provider will get a sense of your medical history including diet, exercise habits, lifestyle factors, in addition to your weight loss goals.
If you are a candidate for medical weight loss, the provider will discuss your weight loss medication options, how medications work, including side effects, risks and benefits. At this point, your provider will order your blood work with our trusted laboratory company, so you can get it done.
Once the provider receives your results, you will have an appointment, so she can go over the results with you. At this follow-up appointment, she will give you a personalized plan that includes medical grade supplements, counseling on dietary and lifestyle changes, in addition to physical mobility recommendations
based on your lab results. In addition, she will order your medication to be delivered to your home.
Routine follow-up appointments will be scheduled on a monthly basis to monitor progress. In addition, the provider is available through the secure messaging system in case questions or concerns arise.
How much weight am I expected to lose?
Since everyone is different, it is impossible to predict the amount of weight loss that a patient will have. In most instances, patients that are in a supervised weight loss program lose around 5-20% of total body weight in 6 months, following diet, exercise, and other behavioral modifications.
